The MYP is currently at a discount of $5k right now. The price difference between an MYP and MYLR has always been $8-$10k. Tesla is using the shorter waiting time to lure some of the MYLR demand into MYP which currently has more capacity than demand. But once Texas comes on line, Tesla will most likely put back the $10k premium over MYLR back.

The MYP cannot clear speed bumps in parking lots without scraping. Every crack or pothole is picked up and transferred to the vehicle interior in a very noticable way.
