I bought a Magnificent Magnavox console tuner/turn table at an auction for a couple of dollars. The tube amp is a 132AA. All the tubes appear to be working but there is no sound. I get static when I wiggle one of the tubes. Its pretty dusty and I need to clean the contacts. In spite of the fact that the old console that my father bought for $950 in 1961, about $8,000 by today's standards, was the sound that I grew up with, I prefer a true, neutral, live sound.
