The Micro 9 seems to the choice for a lot of 1st time Kimber buyers and first opinions mean a lot.The magazine release button has a profiled protrude, let's say a cam, that should be polished. It is pretty easy to disassemble a button, but I don't recommend you to do it if you don't know how to put it back. There is a small compressing spring inside in the button. Everywhere I look it's all the same screws and bushings that are on the kimber website, none of which are for a micro. I called kimber cs and they sent me full size 1911 grip screws and bushings.

My Micro 9 gets carried a lot, but is not my primary CC, I leave it to a "real" gun for that chore (.45 of course). BUT, my little Micro 9 now has just over 600 trouble-free rounds downrange. It was completely stripped, cleaned and lubed prior to it's first outing, has run flawlessly ever since.
